| Sophia von Wrangell Photo Catalina von Wrangell Sophia-Louise von Wrangell is an artist, film director, author, consultant, and a passionate teacher. Since 1983 her company Visart produced commercials(Charlie, Revlon, Quaker), 21 screenplays for feature films awarded, among others, the German Silver Bear (Berlinale 97), the Prize of the German Critique, and NY Times Critic's Pick. With Visart, Sophia produced and directed short films, (Maria, Re-encuentros). In 2002 she founded Sophia's Gallery of Fine Art. Sophia paints oils on canvas,and constantly increases her bank of great quality photography. Moving Paintings, a new art genre, are the result of the multimedia compendium of her diverse interests. An expert in perception, she experiments on how art affects the heart-mind system with very positive results. Sophia has works in collections in South America, Europe, and the US. She has an M.A. in Film Direction from the University of Theater and Cinematographic Arts, Ion Luca Caragiale (Bucharest 1980) and has excelled in many careers spanning film, publicity, television, consulting, teaching and publishing. Orbs during the painting of this mural I see Art as a non-judgmental way of advocating the principle of Sustainability in the world. My HeartMind approach innovates the neuro-marketing field by incorporating what is intuitively known, and scientifically proven: the heart is neurologically connected to the emotional, limbic part of the brain – the part that literally filters EVERY thought and feeling. In other words, the heart is undeniably, and systematically, part of the mind. Moreover, having DENDRITES (brain cells) evrywhere in our bodies, we think and feel with every cell. | |
